  • Developmental

    This style of editing is more big picture. I’ll focus on elements such as character development, plot holes, pacing, world-building, writing style, timeline, readability, and more. You will receive your manuscript back with my edits and comments as well as a Style Guide & Editorial Feedback. Afterward, I’ll give you time to review my edits and suggestions and be available for any questions and advice moving forward.

  • Line Editing

    This is a thorough edit of your manuscript and will include two full read throughs. I will focus on sentence structure, grammar, and syntax as well as fact-checking, consistency, readability, and more. I’ll check for correct tense, style, and frequently repeated words or phrases. Along with the edits and comments on your manuscript, you’ll get a Style Guide & Editorial Feedback that will highlight your strengths and include suggestions for improvement.

  • Proofreading

    This is the final step in the editing process. I will check your manuscript for grammar, syntax, punctuation, and spelling errors. This will not include comments or editorial feedback, if your manuscript still needs that you will need to book a developmental or line editing service.

    *This service can only be booked if your manuscript has gone through several rounds of editing and/or beta readers.

  • First Impression Edit

    Nervous to hire an editor? Unsure what level of editing you need? This is my favorite way to start off with new clients!

    How it works: You’ll send me the first 20 pages of your book (double spaced, max 6k words) & what kind of editing you’re considering. I’ll review these pages to determine what stage of editing you need and if we’ll be a good fit to work together.

  • Formatting

    This service includes the design and layout of your manuscript’s interior pages. In addition to your novel you can also send me the copyright page, dedication, epigraph, afterword, acknowledgements, and an also by this author page. This service does not include cover design, you will need to send me the cover photo as well as any other images you’d like to be used throughout.
