November Reading Wrap Up
Trying to end the year strong, and made sure November was a good mix of some books that have been on my tbr forever as well as some new books!
First up was “We Used to Live Here” by Marcus Kliewer. I noticed this book was starting to get pretty popular and people were saying it was a bit spooky and they weren’t wrong. I was also in the mood fora good psychological thriller and I really couldn’t stop reading and was never bored because something was constantly happening.
After I needed a bit of a change of pace and picked up a special edition copy of “Heartburn” by Nora Ephron which has been on my list to read forever. It was quirky and funny and kinda sad. Very Bridget Jones Diary vibes.
Then my Libby hold of “The Au Pair Affair” by Tessa Bailey and I dove right in. I’ve read several of her books and they’re always a good time and not lacking in spice.
Speaking of spice…Chelsea Curto never lacks in the spice department and she also backs it up with tons of witty and playful banter between characters you’ll be thinking about for months to come. Her holiday romance “Dashing All The Way” was no exception.
My audiobook for this month was “Dinner for Vampires” by Bethany Joy Lenz and I learned so much about her. I had no clue she was unfortunately looped into a cult while she was on One Tree Hill. I highly recommend listening to it on audio to hear her tell her story. I personally use Libro.FM to listen to audiobooks because part of your purchase goes to support a bookstore of your choice, just like Bookshop.org! We love supporting local businesses.
I finished off the month with another book that’s been on my to be read list for so long: “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” by Truman Capote. It’s one of my favorite movies and I was shocked how closely the movie followed the book. I’m still finishing up “A Darker Shade of Magic” by V.E. Schwab but I am loving it. It’s very different from “The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue” but just as good.
I have lots of December hopefuls to be read so we’ll see how next month goes. I’d love to hear what you’ve been reading, you can never have enough books on your tbr and I’m always looking for more recommendations.'
